Linda Ashdown provides HRM services through her company Ashdown-Jones HR Ltd. She spent many years working in the advertising industry and was HR Director for Leo Burnett Advertising Ltd. She also currently teaches at Portsmouth University.

This is a logically structured and clearly written book which has a great deal to offer Line Managers and HR practitioners wanting to understand how to get the best from their team. It is positioned well to help those who are new to performance management and those wishing to improve their practice. I particularly liked the practical real-life examples which brought the book to life.
